Only As Good As The Backend
Good afternoon from Premier Pixels Las Vegas web design HQ. It’s only Monday and it’s already shaping up to be an exciting week. Today’s topic has been weighing heavy on our minds for a while. One of the most overlooked aspects of web design implementation is the back end structure of coding and content placement. The majority of designers we see today really don’t pay attention to detail on the back end during the initial stages of creation. More bothersome is the fact that the client is completely unaware. Needless to say they dazzle the client on the front end only to completely overlook proper programming on the back end. The designer goes above and beyond with all the ‘bells and whistles’ on the front end only to inadvertently sabotage the back.
It’s like getting excited about a new movie that hits theaters. The previews blow you away! The anticipation builds as the release date inches closer and closer. You even share the excitement with family and friends. “I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THAT!!” The actors are nothing less than A List! What happens? You spend forty dollars (wouldn’t be a movie without popcorn and soda) taking your significant other only to feel completely hoodwinked by the end. We can all relate to that; can’t we? There is no GREATER feeling than walking out of a movie feeling robbed of not only your money but your time. Can you say “ROBBED?” The fact is the front end of your website is only as good as the back. They’re like the yin and the yang-one won’t work without the other.
Our Las Vegas web design team devises proper planning to keep flexibility a priority on the back end. This is chess; not checkers. You have to think three or four moves ahead at any given turn. Think about it; in the ever competitive world of internet marketing and commerce what your website is today is a far cry from where it will be tomorrow; Makes sense; Right? Building a website is more complexed than just the look and feel. In fact look and feel is only half the battle of good design.

Unfortunately it has become common practice for designers to focus most of their attention on the front end. While this has no effect at the beginning, as you enhance your website with content and depth you will find back end programming needs to be properly planned in order accommodate edits, updates and changes.
