If SEO Was A Sport

Internet Marketing No Comments

Happy Monday! Last week’s Game 6 of the World Series had a historic turn of events. In the ninth inning, the St. Louis Cardinals were one strike away from losing the World Series, and down to the very last pitch TWICE. And each time, with one swing of the bat, they tied the Rangers and took the game into extra innings. In the top of the tenth inning, the Rangers jumped up to another two run lead. Then AGAIN, at the plate with two outs and two strikes (one strike away from losing the World Series) with yet another swing of the bat, the Cardinals tied it up AGAIN. The end result? The Cardinals forced a Game 7 and wound up winning the whole thing.

How Mentally Tough Are You ?

Can you imagine how mentally tough you’d have to be if you were down to the last strike in the biggest game of your life on the biggest stage there is on two consecutive occasions? How cool, calm, and collective could you be in that situation? SEO is a technical sport in it’s own rite. Internet marketing requires the same mindset. It takes an unwavering commitment and a willingness to push through adversity, no matter the price.

Preparing For Your Breakout

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Sometimes your success depends on one thing and one thing only, staying in the game. The Cardinals could have mentally quit when they were down to their last strike, but they pushed through. They persevered because they were prepared mentally. They worked all season for their big moment and when the opportunity presented itself, they were ready. No mental hiccups. No second guessing. There is a quiet certainty that only comes when you KNOW where you’re going. That type of demeanor and attitude is the only way to win. You think any team steps on the field (or court) thinking they’re going to lose? Hell to the “NO!” Why should your seo be any different?

So you haven’t seen the results you were looking for in your seo strategy thus far. Join the club. We’ve all been there. Our site took a significant hit in our rankings with the Panda updates. We didn’t cry (okay maybe a little :-) but we kept our poise, took our licks and kept ticking. You should too. You have to stay positive or the adversity will slowly wain your vision of better organic rankings.

The N.S.L. (The National Search Engine League)

Okay, so there’s really no such thing as the N.S.L. but it sounds good with this analogy, so please bare with me. When you become accustom to winning in any sport; what happens? You have to work harder to stay on top. Right? You have to stay in shape because once you’re near the top, there’s a target on your back. Seo is no different. Once your keywords get atop the rankings, you better damn sight stay consistent or the competition will inevitably devise a plan to knock you off your throne. The game of seo rankings is as competitive as it gets. There are only ten positions on the first page and everyone in the league (your industry) is striving for the same thing-maximum visibility. You have to develop a tenacity for winning. On the other hand, a lack of consistency and being unsure of where your heading is not much different than not playing the game at all. Stay focused, committed, and your visibility is inevitable. This is Premier Pixels Las Vegas web design team signing off. Stay uncomfortable my friends and have a great day!!
