The Tight Rope Presentation
During the initial stages of project development our Premier Pixels Las Vegas website design and internet marketing project managers pose an interesting question to each client.
What role does your website play?
When a circus performer walks the tight rope a hundred feet in the air; what is the main attribute he/she must have in order to walk from one side to the next? That’s right my fined feathered friends-BALANCE.
The Leading Presentation Role- In essence every website puts on a performance. An effective leading presentation role takes somewhat of a balancing act. The dynamic ones captivate while telling a story. Think of it like this: If you could use three phrases (actions) to describe the ultimate goals you would like your website to accomplish when a new visitor stops by; what would they be?
For Example
1. Establish Need/Pique Interest
2. Show Value
3. Call To Action (perform an action to initiate conversation)
Now take a few moments and expand this train of thought. Make it relative to your business. If you could create the perfect balance; What three points would you emphasize?
The actions may vary depending upon what you’re trying to accomplish but the ability of taking them from one sequence to the next is what matters. In other words you must create balance to guide them from landing on your site to actually performing an action set fourth by you.
Combine Information With A Sales Driven Approach
Theres a big difference in the role your website plays. The ideal role is to transform your website into a lead generation system as opposed to just a source of information. This is not to say you don’t want to be informative. In fact quite the opposite. Our Las Vegas website design and internet marketing team believe the most effective sites are the ones who perfect the balance between having great information (most times for free) while developing an ongoing line of communication between you and them; hence The Tight Rope Presentation.
This strategy in effect is how you generate new business. It’s NOT about getting them to purchase on their first visit so remember when they leave their contact information-you win. Once they leave that magical line of communication open the possibility of them becoming a customer (at some point) swings heavily in your favor.
This isn’t as complicated as it sounds. It takes a willingness to try new things and fine tune what works as opposed to what doesn’t. There’s nothing wrong with over analyzing (to a point). As a matter of fact lot’s of times that’s how a new idea is born.
Look At What Others Are Doing- There is also nothing wrong with finding the top performers in your respective field to spark new ideas for your own business. As long as you don’t completely hijack their game; why not use their website as a tool to inspire success within your own presentation. The point being our Las Vegas website design and internet marketing team wants you to color outside the lines. This way of thinking can spark ideas of greatness. So keep plugging away and planting seeds. Eventually you will hit you your stride. Thanks and have a great day!!!
